# Astarter

Astarter is the infrastructure layer for the autonomous AI economy. ABox compute nodes run agents; the on-chain execution layer settles their trades, predictions, and payments; the $AST token is used for compute fee settlement, governance, and protocol services. Node operators, liquidity providers, and agent creators earn fees for the work they perform on the network.

## What is Astarter?

An AI economy that is executable, tradable, and monetizable — built on four pillars:
